Natural Fruit Acids

PurePeel products contains exclusive natural acid fruits.

There are good reasons for this...

Back in the day of ancient Egypt and Rome, the beneficial effects of fruit acid on the skin had already been discovered. Whilst Cleopatra would bathe in sour milk to prevent any skin impurities, the Romans would use wine to wash their faces.

The well-balanced mixture of natural fruit acids (lactic, citric, malic and tartaric acid) contained in Derma Pharmacy’s purePeel leads to gentle and effective skin exfoliation. Lactic acid, the main component, is found in dairy products, apples, tomatoes and beer. It also happens to be produced in the human body during oxygen-free metabolic processes in active muscles, meaning that lactic acid isn’t something that the body isn’t already familiar with. As a non-toxic acid and a substance produced by the human body itself, lactic acid rarely leads to complications.

Citric acid is found in tropical fruits such as pineapples, oranges, figs and lemons and also in berries. It is also a fruit acid that the human body is already familiar with. The so-called citric acid cycle plays a role in the oxidative break down of proteins, fat and carbohydrates and also provides energy and other intermediates for biosynthesis.

Because of its broad compatibility and the high application safety for the customer, the peelings with natural fruit acid have also the designation of „Lunch Time Peeling“ (the peeling for in between).
